People depend on social services; social services depend on people to deliver them.
Community-Based Organizations (referred to as CBOs) provide child care, social care and vocational training for people living with disabilities, and community services such as shelters and addictions treatment through multiple agencies in villages, towns and cities across Saskatchewan.
CBO workers care for society’s most vulnerable; they provide child care and early learning, support for emergency shelter, crisis intervention services and addictions treatment, care in group homes and programs providing support for employment and independent living, and much more. We’re facing unprecedented times, and that’s when we need affordable, reliable social services most.
